Welcome to BestFriend.health ("BestFriend", "we", "our", "us"). Your privacy and your parent's dignity are extremely important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect personal information when you use our website and services. By using our website or services, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.
We collect only the information necessary to provide safe, respectful companionship services. This includes information you provide as a family member or child, such as your name, email address, phone number, relationship to the parent, city and locality, and communication preferences. We also collect information about the parent, including their name, age range, living situation, mobility status, interests, hobbies, language preferences, and any emotional or behavioral sensitivities that are voluntarily shared. We do not collect medical records, diagnose conditions, or provide medical treatment.
During service delivery, we may collect session-related information such as session notes, activity summaries, emotional wellness observations including mood, engagement, and comfort levels, and optional photos shared only with explicit consent. We also collect GPS-based check-in and check-out timestamps to confirm arrival and departure during visits. For companions, we store identity verification details, background check status, and training or certification completion records.
We do not collect or handle bank details, ATM cards, UPI information, cash, medical prescriptions, legal documents, personal valuables, passwords, or sensitive financial data. Companions are strictly prohibited from engaging in any such activities.
The information we collect is used only to match parents with suitable companions, deliver structured companionship sessions, generate emotional wellness reports for families, maintain safety and supervision, communicate regarding sessions and updates, and responsibly improve our services. We do not sell, rent, or trade personal data.
Emotional wellness reports may include mood patterns, engagement levels, activities participated in, observational insights, and general wellbeing trends. These reports are descriptive and non-clinical in nature and are shared only with authorized family members.
To ensure transparency and safety, GPS check-in occurs when a companion arrives and GPS check-out occurs when the companion leaves. We track only time and location at these moments and do not conduct continuous tracking, this feature is not yet live. And will only be live once we launch our App.
Information may be shared internally with care supervisors and founders, with companions strictly on a need-to-know basis, or if required by law or government authorities. We do not share data with advertisers or third-party marketing platforms.
We take reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect personal data, including restricted access, secure storage systems, and role-based access controls. While no system can guarantee absolute security, we continuously work to protect your information.
You have the right to request access to your information, request corrections, withdraw consent, discontinue services, or request deletion of personal data, subject to legal obligations. Requests can be made by contacting us using the details below.
Our services are designed for elderly adults with consent from themselves and/or their families. We operate with heightened care and supervision to protect vulnerable individuals.
We may update this Privacy Policy as our services evolve. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
